Professional development helps library staff to grow in their careers, and to better serve their patrons and researchers. And opportunities abound in Minnesota! This session will officially launch a new statewide professional development website, organized by a collaborative called the Library Professional Development Network (LPDN). Join us to learn more about what development is available, to hear from organizations that provide it across the state, to make connections with others, and to inform future opportunities. The LPDN includes representation from library organizations in Minnesota that provide professional development. We’ll talk about the work we’ve done to increase cross-organizational awareness, about our goal to provide greater clarity to library staff in what training is available in the state, and about strategies to respond to gaps that may exist.
