DIY Escape Room Workshop

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will walk away from this hands-on workshop with the tools to create unique, fun, and educational programming for all ages and interests. This DIY workshop tackles the logistics of creating an escape room, scaling it up or down depending on the audience, highlighting features in the library, and collaborating with community partners to reach the broadest audience possible. Escape rooms can be as versatile as the space allows and can accommodate single individuals or groups of up to 100. They can also be contained to a few minutes, expanded to last a week, or checked out for at-home use. All these scenarios and more will be covered while the group works to create a mini escape room. Speakers will share their experiences, tips, and tricks, gleaned from hosting a dozen escape rooms over the past year. No budget is too small to create a dynamic escape room experience.
