Yawp! A National Poetry Month Project

Let's face it: many people are intimidated by poetry, but they don't have to be! National Poetry Month is a great opportunity to engage in a collaborative, creative project with your patrons and co-workers. In this panel, a project idea will be shared that incorporates poetry with audiovisual creations in an effort to make the genre more accessible. This presentation will cover the planning and steps involved in launching this project, and we’ll take a look at the final projects from Yawp 2019. This project's success was only possible because of the sheer number of talented people who worked together, and is proof of the concept that the minds of many can do so much more than an individual. Anyone who is interested in cultivating a love of poetry and creativity in their community will find this panel helpful.
