Writers Across Minnesota: Engage Your Community Through Stories

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, as the Minnesota Center for the Book, presents two statewide initiatives: the Minnesota Writers Directory and the author tour program Moving Words, with the goal of connecting more writers with the state's library communities. Launched in February 2019, the Directory is an interactive listing of authors throughout the state, aiming to connect writers with event hosts and readers who want to learn more about their stories and craft. We'll walk through the website and engage in a conversation about how the Directory can help serve libraries. Moving Words: Writers Across Minnesota is an author-tour program, now in its second year, which brings four Book Award-winning writers to each library region in the state. The conference event will explore how more libraries can become connected with this program and magnify the impact among more communities.
